Honeymooning at Sandals St. Lucia

Well we are married now! Whoo! Honestly, the details of the wedding are already becoming a distant memory. We did have a lovely wedding and wish to say thank you to all those who helped us with it. It was even more beautiful than we dreamed it would be! Hopefully, we’ll be getting the photos back from the photographer soon so we can share those.

For now, St. lucia:

After leaving the for the airport around 3am, we boarded our plane and headed for St. Lucia. We spent the first few days just relaxing and enjoying the island.

The later part of the week we spent our days mastering the art of windsurfing (easily the most exhausting sport ever).

Don’t let these pictures fool you (you know because we look like pros and it seems so easy) the sails weighed a ton, two once they were covered in water. It took a lot of balance and strength. By the end of the week, John was pretty good and could actually make it go where he wanted it to. I, obviously the more athletic of the two, was a pro from the start had to be rescued by the employees because they were afraid I was going to drift into the rocks.

There was so much good food to choose from. We had everything from an authentic french meal to hamburgers. Here are some pics from our meal at Kimonos, the hibachi restaurant on our resort.

Nightly, the resort provided entertainment. The ones pictured here were from the limbo and fire breathers night. It was pretty cool, even with the smell of kerosene lingering in the air.
