We’re almost through our first winter here in the Pacific Northwest! I’m glad for that. Some things we’ve learned:
1-Ashlee needs more vitamin D then the sun provides (interestingly, red heads can produce their own so that’s probably why John wasn’t affected)
2-From now on, we’re going to take a vacation to someplace warm and sunny over winter
3-Ski resorts must have a hard time making money: most places up here didn’t open up until January because there was a lack of snow. Now, there’s so much snow the roads are closing, avalanches are happening, and people can’t get to the slopes to ski. However, we did make it out a couple of times and, I managed to snap a couple pics of the mountain from my phone.
Also, I said goodbye to a couple of old friends. Back in 2007, against my mothers wishes I bought the most wonderful pair of shoes money could buy. Flash-forward seven years, and they’re ripping and worn, and I really need a new pair. So, for Christmas I asked mom for a replacement. They finally came in!
Believe it or not, these shoes are the exact same style!
So that was February. Short and sweet. (See what I did there, I’m hilarious!)
Until next time,
Ashlee & John
